Probability Calculator | Single Event and Multiple Event Probability Calculator

Online probability calculator. Solve single and multiple event probability. Probability calculator to calculates single event and multiple event probabilities with definition, formula and examples.

Probability Definition:-
Probability is an estimation or a measure of how likely it is that something will happen or that a statement is true. Probabilities are given a value between 0 (0% chance or will not happen) and 1 (100% chance or will happen).

Single Event Probability Calculator
Number of possible outcomes:
Number of events occured:

Probability of event that occurs P(A):
Probability of event that does not occurs P(A'):

Formula:-

Probability of event A that occurs P(A) = n(A) / n(S)
Probability of event A that does not occur P(A') = 1 - P(A)

Where,
n(A) = number of occurrence in Event A,
n(S) = total number of possible outcomes.

Note : (No. Possible Outcomes > No. Events Occured)
Multiple Event Probability Calculator
Number of possible outcomes:
Number of event occurs in A:
Number of event occurs in B:

P(A):
P(A'):
P(B):
P(B'):
P(A ∩ B):
P(A ∪ B):
P(A | B):

Formula :

Probability of event A that occurs P(A) = n(A) / n(S)
Probability of event A that does not occur P(A') = 1 - P(A)
Probability of event B that occurs P(B) = n(B) / n(S)
Probability of event B that does not occur P(B') = 1 - P(B)
Probability that both the events occur P(A ∩ B) = P(A) x P(B)
Probability that either of event occurs P(A U B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A ∩ B)
Probability that either of event occurs P(A | B) = P(A ∩ B)/P(B)

Where,
If P(B) = 0 then P(A | B) is undefined.

If two events are mutually exclusive
P(A U B) = P(A) + P(B)

If the events are not mutually exclusive then
(A U B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A n B)

Note : (Possible outcomes > A and B event occurs)
